In October of 2009, Leslie Washington was appointed Pastor of Allen Chapel AME Church. His journey to now has included many obstacles and numerous wins, which uniquely equips him to lead Allen Chapel into the exciting future that God has in store.
Pastor Washington leads with passion and great enthusiasm for the Word of God. His ministry and messages are often described as inspirational and applicable to every walk of life.
Pastor Washington’s education and accolades exist, yet his humble spirit prefers not to boast on such. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
His ultimate goal in life is to help people change, get free, and walk-in God’s perfect will. In addition to taking care of God’s family, Pastor Washington finds great joy in spending time with his own!
